I became awesome friends with Ian as well. I watched a whole bunch of random movies like Pleasantville, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, 1966 Swedish movie Persona, loads more.  Thinking back of how Keann & I formed Detention Dance Class, in just a few months, we're now moved to a danceroom surrounded with amazing speakers, mirrors, clean toilets and ice water dispensers. Kudos to our first big gig at NDP-NP at the Convention Centre in August. Yeah, I got hired to choreograph a Hiphop/Culture Fusion which I remixed as well. It's a pretty awesome track that includes a fashion runway in the interlude of dance segments. Thank God for this growth of our dance group. Woot. Check out this random dance video!  I honestly think Amy Winehouse looks like the xenomorph from the Alien Quadrilogy. This woman here has amazing talent but such an awful lifestyle, it's depressing.
 Janet's got a new Reality TVshow guys! She gon' search YMCAs for the next big thang. Ya'll go figure coz Im supportin' Ms Janet all the way, none gon' beat her. No Ciara, Rihanna or a whole bunch of Danity "jackson" Kanes can outrun Ms Jackson! It'll air on MTV which I cant wait for! Alright, phew! Back to normal :) I fixed my harddrive, so I get to watch Anime again. Shut up! I know i usually dont. But it's so addictive. Some are so good, technically and artistically fresh. Currently watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Elfen Lied. Brilliance.
 About my headline title... Im tired of people thinking Im gay. Im not afraid to finally talk about this since people find iIm tired of people expecting me to use "Im Actually Straight" to back me up as some form of relief. And no, Im not Bi. Im none of these. Dont you DARE think Im a paedophile. Im just... Look, I think Love is much more important to me then just SEXUAL preference. I know Im a writer. I know I sing and make films. I have never been in love. Yes, all that advice I give that's supposedly awesome, are straight from the cliches of Hollywood cinema that's programmed into me due to my love for film. It's sad isnt it? yeah, im not gonna emo about it anymore. To me, I just wanna be swept off my feet. Anytime soon? I dont know. I really dont. But that's always fun.

A combination of definite ups & downs, survival of the fittest, tears and smiles, lotsa friends made, many close friends lost, the growth in me every way possible, awakening of my career and talents, embracing of what I've been dearly blessed with... and most importantly... breathing.Turning 18 is like one of those things you dream of when you're like 12 or 13. You meet someone who's 18 and you just go 'whoaaa'.
15 is teen
16 is sweet and bubbly
17 is neither here nor there but you're still counted young
18 is... it's like a day passes into your birthday and you are expected to act mature from now on. No more will you hear 'wow you're really young for your age, look, profession'.
Am i glad? sure i have no choice, but I think God knows Im ready to be 18. He planned the pre-18 years just for this... So I guess he knows.
Did I have an AWESOME birthday? Nope. My birthday BBQparty is next friday, the 20th. NO! Im NOT Gonna have my birthday party on friday the 13th, today.
Shit, Im actually getting my hair straightened and cut at NEXT while Im typing this. They better not screw up, crap I hope not. Hair is covered in tight drags of heavy liquid.
 So what did I do on my birthday? I never do much. I like the idea of spending the day in a slow pace... thinking... appreciating... thanking God. So I woke up in the morning, prayed to God and thanked him while my mind went into a flashback-montage of 18 years. After that, I met up with Joshua Kwan,Adin,Terrence & Nickwong (all different backgrounds, never met before)(Joshua Kwan's from Culture, Adin is from Detention, Terrence writes with me, NickWong is my long lost primary school friend) to watch M.Night Shyamalan's THE HAPPENING.
---Mind you, Im a major MNight fan, so I had to watch this on the opening day. I fully appreciate his work and have nothing but utter respect for The Sixth Sense/Unbreakable/The Village/Signs/Lady In The Water, and now THE HAPPENING. The environmental concept is definitely another Inconvenient Truth, but you cant help but be sucked into the very effective thriller.
 Nick stayed over at my place where we watched THE GIRL NEXT DOOR which was brilliantly sweet. We watched LITTLE BRITAIN and went out playing guitar and recording covers at 3am. lol.
My birthday was spent simple, coz it's just gonna go upwards from now on...

The First Smses I got at 12midnight were from DENISE and NATASHA. I was filming with my close classmates and friends, Jacky, Pamela, YingYing, Eugene, Justin, Alex and Ian during that period. The soft "hey man, it's your birthday", inbetween the next take was really really heartwarming.
These came the next morning and, like I said, I really appreciate this. Some text messages arent even from close friends and I just am touched by their thought. Some are kinda funny, probably typed them too fast... Here goes... (in order)

 1) I used to go to Holland V almost every day. The starbucks. With my friends who work at Cold Rock. The hawker centre and starbucks. I've not been there in months... Probably coz of (2)(3)(4)
2) Sharyl & I aren't friends anymore. Meiling and I barely talk.
3) Andrew and I don't speak, I don't even have the strength to talk to (2)(3) about it. Just extremely angry with the issues, tired with it as well. But yeah I do miss them. It's just not time yet for me to say anything to them...
4) Gerald and Mark aren't friends. I havent talked to either of them or Julian even. Mark's been real busy. Gerald has disappeared all of a sudden, so has Julian.5) I have not seen Joshua Kwan/Reagan/Gavin/Weeleong's face in months. Hmm, I'd actually tear up if I elaborate more on how much they mean to me. Well, Reagan's heading to the army soon. So is Joshua I guess.
6) I used to go to Culture. I used to go to WEB and WG. I used to go to City Harvest. I am going... no where now. God brought me to Culture, God told me to return to WEB, after awhile I just couldnt let myself go there again... Am I backsliding? Nope. But I do crave to be closer to God, to continue growing (the key thing).

 9) Apart from Janet Jackson, Madonna or Michael Jackson, I'm now hooked on Paramore, Paula Abdul's new single and underground rock bands. Okay, I'm really hooked onto Paula Abdul's new single, Dance Like There's No Tomorrow. It's BRILLIANT. The Music Video is Sooooo Good. Wanna know a less-known fact? Paula Abdul was Janet Jackson's choreographer during janet's legend status. Wait, she's still an Icon, no doubt bout that. Please go to youtube and check out Paula Abdul's music video, it's beyond beyond awesome.
 10) I've met some amazing friends recently. Florence is beyond amazing though. She's alot like me, surprise surprise. It's so easy to talk to her and the strength she has is... she probably doesnt even know how strong she actually is. I'm amazed by what she did tonight. See, i worked really hard for this DJ gig that had a last minute cancellation due to the delay of the earlier performances. I got really pissed off and just shut my laptop, ready for home. (i prepared 1.5 hours of careful premix material). Florence, along with my classmates, just went "we will not go until you do your thang!". So... i did my thang. And just that, made tonite special.

 So I didnt have to study for Film History test coz I was selected by NgeeAnn to be part of Singapore's Pre-University Seminar held at NTU. The theme was 'Global City:Home For All'. Top/outstanding/leaders from every JC and Poly were my 'camp mates'. The camp lasted for 5 days, begining monday till friday. I was kinda apprehensive as first, being the anti-formality/anti-standards of society kinda person. I had NO chance to wear the clothes I'd usually wear. INSTEAD? I'm covered with 100%icky cotton of blazer and white shirts. How glam. Dont worry, the next time you see me in a blazer, is probably when I'm buried at my funeral. No wait, I'd wear something designer... The presentations by students, panel discussions and talks really made me realize how intelligent my peers were. I also realized what a retard I am when it comes to politics. Damn... I did not understand a damn thang of what's goin' on...SERIOUSLY. I really felt like a fish flopping on dry ground, being laughed at by the rest... i just... felt weirded out. I remember sitting alone during dinner, just wondering where I come in, with this whole seminar thing. I prayed of course, that things will change. That i'd be ENTHU and make awesome friends... so... yeah... now for the answers. THINGS got WAY better. We had a film seminar where I totally rocked out with my 'film knowledge' when it came to the Q&A section. It was this philippines movie that had a gay theme, awesome cinematography & mise-en-scene and an even more flamboyant title than its centered character, "The Blossoming of Maximo Oliveiros". Lol. Pple began calling me 'Film Boy' Lol. I AM FILM BOYyyYYYy. NOT mr. politics. So yeah. Totally agree. We had an awesome time building 'a global city' from sand too. lol.
 Friends? Some people were really quiet at first, Abigail from Raffles Jr.College. BUT she stunned us when she went up to the microphone infront of hundreds of people (including Vivian Bala.) and posted a friggin memorable and coolio question, "what about Sexual Freedom?". LOL... And THAT GIRL CAN SING & DANCE TOO!!! lol. Marconi from AC rocks too, the 'stonest' guy in the camp. I even met Kevin's ex-bandmate from Circa Trova, Mariselle and his guitarist. Mariselle's an awesome chick who's oober sweet. I met this girl called Clare as well. She is the cutest thing. We had an awesome time camwhoring and talking. Awesome personality. There was this guy that i thought was really arrogant at first---TURNS OUT, hes AWESOME. His name's Shawn from TP. Beyond cool. He's an awesome camwhore too. Prove it? He's on the TP Poster Ad. I was on the HIV and HERPES advert so I come a close second. OH? I met Melanie from PESA 1.5 years ago. Lol
And remember that random guy I thought was kinda cool at Ben & Jerry's (a one-time customer that I just got to know randomly), i MET him here and we hung out alot. His name's Jonathan from TP Mass Comm. Apparently he thinks he can wrestle me over, but he knows he cant. that's right, if u read this--u CANT. And i so proved it. Yeahp Yeahp. Oh there's this reallie cool guy too, Loke Teng Chung. He has the sickest smartest questions at the hook of its belt and he just SPANKS IT big time. He also has a pretty cool personality as well (judging from the 10 minutes of conversation we had that definitely made an impact to me. Hmm, imagine if we became better friends? damn, i might turn into a newspaper-reading citizen of this country)... ....im scared.
 Behold, the ONLY person on earth who can pull of 'JOSHUA SIMON'S LIP POUT'. And he does it so friggin well. Gotta love my style. This is Gerald from TP. *in love with his lower lip* damn, makes me proud.
There are so many people I wanna do a shout out for ya know? Erm... Keann for being here for me at the first emo bits of my camp. Lenne for calling me and having an awesome Bff heart-to-heart talk over the fone. Wing for fighting with me, having me not sleep coz of her. lol. But... yeah she called me a day later and we talked bout it. Thankx for the stuff u said bout me on ur blog. I appreciate it. Who else...? LOTS alright? Lots. Turns out, I loved this camp coz of its cool people. I learnt alot from this thingy. Yeah, i did Quiet time too with Simon & Jonathan---long story but for now?....

 I've tried so hard these days to go home early. Yeah it worked on Gerald's birthday, spent it with Meiling too where we had dinner at my place. Wooo Gerald rocks. XD. I watched Black Snake Moan that night, which was seriously good. The theme is a bit hard to watch though, Christina Ricci plays a friggin hot half naked nymphomaniac with a sex drive like a 64 motor. Justin Timberlake plays Ronnie, the troubled boyfriend that has to deal with her 'condition'. The plot comes in when Samuel L.Jackson, a lonely retired blues singer, finds the half naked white chick on the side of the road and decides to... chain her up to his heat radiator. He's gonna teach her a lesson. It has a christian theme to it, believe it or not. You really see her slowly change due to the spiritual emphasis and will against lust that Samuel L.Jackson's character eludes. It's just really cool to see the reverse of the amount of sexual encounters Christina Ricci's character is involved in at the front of the film, with the ending where she learns to sing 'This Little Light of Mine". It's a beautiful film IF you can handle the rather graphic first half.  I'm really proud of the photoshoot I did with meiling as well as the other hand shots that I did at Sentosa with YiXin & Gerald's help. You can check out the fullphotoshoot in the gallery below. The dream of recreating the Janet Jackson:Discipline photoshoot (above) has come true. I really love the Meiling chain shot (above bottom). My DREAM HAS COME TRUE.... Partially. Fully when It's ME to get to be the dripping-hot-in-photo.
 Yesterday was really funky. I managed to hand up my photography assignment, record an awesome dialogue sequence for my Audio Project, hold an IS Film Table Read as well as watch the amazing performance of Mannequin Mascarade at the Atrium. I'm hooked on Paramore now haha. I was so gonna go home early to rest up (for once). Turned Garrett down to hang out at Orchard. Turned Keann down to hang out at Boat Quay. BUT, I found Priscilla, Denise & Rach who wanted to go shopping. And you know what an impulsive shopper I am right?.... yeah.... i went....
I was Priscilla's bag handler, Rach's fashion advisor and Denise's gossip partner. Lol. Denise and I saw this lady with hugantic boobs. Seriously. It's like she uses her bra to steal fruits or somethin. We bumped into Florence, Garrett, Adin, Calvin & KEANN. Lol so much for trying to run away and going home. We stayed at a friggin warm Carls Jr. sharing 1 small regular cup of freeflow drink. It was crazaay... I ended up getting really drunk... really really drunk.... on Coke Zero
After I found about why **** and I havent been talking on the phone or going out or whatever... I just cant touch alcohol the same way. Cant tell you why. I... really dont wanna go there right now, or ever actually. I just wanna forget whatever that happened. We'll see where we go i guess. Hm.
I Cant wait for HILLSONG tonite LIVE at the EXPO!!! Wooo. Going there with David, Keann & Keenan. It's like a major dream come true to see Hillsong live man.

| | This was one crazy last nite. Gerald, Larris, Adin, Priscilla, YiXin, Keith, Keann & I went over to Sentosa's lil chalet and reaked havok. Lotsa naked. I was the photographer coz i had to do shots on the same night for my Cinematography class--of those you'll see posted up real soon! These shots are really good also! I made Larris's 200PoundsBody look like a Calvin Klein sh!t. Pris & YiXin look like stars in Wild Things. Adin looks like... Adin. |
 So much has happened since this morning's pre-u seminar. Hmm, it just questions me if time and events work in hand. Erm, I met up with Zayar and traveled over to Niqohl's place at FRIGGIN BEDOK! Got to know Zayar a tad more, really growing as friends--which is cool i guess? haha. Niqohl's party was pretty cool. Lenne and I had an awesome chat bout our lovelife state. I DJ-ed the whole nite's event. It was sad though how pple just stood Niqhol up. She like... ordered food enough for 70 pple. Like less than 30 came? or somethin.
 It's just... Hmm but we did our best to make her smile--hence the camwhoring. We danced here and there. OMG, Niqhol, Jane, Diyanah, Angella, Munirah, Tasha and the rest of those chicks were not only HOT, they were... ROCKIN IT. Diyanah is so pretty... I think I should like... cue the violins and get roses or somethin. Jane kissed 2 girls. I was THIS close to kissing Marcus (sadly, the passionfruit lip balm didnt come on time).   Detention Class has never been this awesome. I'm actually making our first DCCD: Detention Class Compilation Disc. It'll have all the songs we've been dancing to, might dance to, PLUS recorded interludes before each song! It's gonna be friggin cool man. The clips are hilarious (Adin & Li imitate Yixin and Alexis in one interlude track). We're gonna crank this underground dance group up a notch real soon. real real soon.
 Due to our amazingly cool time we had together at RadioHeatwave+Zouk's FRESH event, Beverly has organized a clubbing night out for us. Which... we ... will rock harder at. Lol. Haha. ;) Can't wait for tomorrow nite.

 Remember David? The guy from all the controversial scandal photos I took with him (french-ing at Clementi, hot swimming at Raffles Marina, messing around at Pepper Lunch). Yeah now you do. Well, he's been busy with exams at AC---TILL TODAY! Wooot. So we went out to... church. How ironic right? lol. I accompanied him to City Harvest today. It was pretty cool, God bless the church man. The worship leader was wearing this awesome shirt from SkinCouture that i So wanted--but... nah. He didn't WORK it. So... guess it's ruined. I cant wait for SunHo's hip hop album man! Woot. Haha. God really did move today man. Listening to open gratitudes to mothers from grown adults, really hits me..I... I... Im not gonna go there... *emotional moment.
 David and I went to get Subway--convinced him how healthy it is compared to most foods. Then we spent 7 bucks on Old Chang Kee... *blink*. REWIND. Background knowledge of David? I met him SUPER randomly at church once. He couldnt find a seat, neither could I. So I just went up to him and said hi. I was bored man. So we became friends. I invited him over to my place during CNY 08 coz AC's hostel doesnt open during the holidays so... we slept on Siloso Beach. Haha my house too. We really got to know each other awesomely well... AND i know it sounds so wrong but... haha I wont go there. Anyways, I just really really appreciate the friendship we have man. :) Awesome Brother He Is... DO NOT THINK ANY OTHER WAY MAN... erm... yeah... erm yeah... *runs to the back alley with david.
 I met Mark after David left for Global Day of Prayer. Decided to whip up an awesome dinner for mummy dearest. Yeah I love my mum. If you've met my parents, theyre awesome. My dad used to be a pastor (the sarcastic indian guy), so he's very articulate. I get my 'funny-bone' from him. My mum's super chee-na. She dips croissants in soy sauce (that bad man). She went to Australia with us and was labelled the Ms Swan of the family...

 Beverly, Rachel, Kevin, Keann, Priscilla, Orgasm Boy, Shawn, Mark, Zeff, Alexis, Zayar, Lav, Brandon, Sheryl, Bryan etc (by that, i mean loadsa etc) and I RAWKED Tonite's FRESH Event by Zouk & Radio Heatwave. The music sucked, sure. They werent allowed to play R&B coz it was a Trance/Eurobeat Night. Real hard to dance to my style. So... We all RAN from one side of the arena, to the other, back and forth, to the centre, front... grinding EVERYONE we SAW. We didnt care what people thought (by that, i mean, people who just stand, stop & stare). It's like HELLO!??!? Have FUN. So we just... KRUNKED the nite out! Hahaha It was amazingly fun.
 Goodbye Keann's glasses, but you look amazing without them. For real.
I'm writing this part in blue to make me feel better---contrasting the topic with this color. Hmm, truth is, I thought it would be amazing to tell her how i feel bout her, so we could work things out. Maturely. As adults. Even if it wasnt gonna go anywhere, we promised to be friends and just heal it as a situation we face. I care about her alot. I care about her relationship with God. I care about her health and her smiles. What I can't stand is just... the strength I thought she had, giving into the weakness of others. I ran out of my film project for her just to have me be chucked aside while she hung out with other pple. I just.. dont get it. I dont wanna get it. There just comes a point when a guy like me stops caring. It's not gonna happen anytime soon though, coz Im all about love. I live my life centered around love. And if it sounds cheesy, I centre it around HOPE that someday, it wont sound cheesy to you.

Social network Multiply is set to launch a browser toolbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox.
MySpace, Facebook and other large networks have toolbars already (Facebook’s is official, MySpace’s isn’t), and Multiply’s will do much the same thing:let you know when new content is posted, when you get messages and allow you to post content to the site. Most likely this will solidify the site’s existing user base, and won’t attract much attention from those not currently on the site.
The launch date has yet to be announced.
